Cancellation Policy: A substitute delegate is always welcome at no extra charge. Cancellations will only be accepted 5 business days prior to registered course date. No refunds or credits will be issued for students not attending reserved seats.

Basic RTK GPS or Robotic Total Station Product Training
8 HOURS (1 DAY), P/N 990145
GPS Training includes: equipment setup, receiver and job settings
using field controller, base and rover setup, basic topo/stakeout
features, file transfer, and Student Training Guides.
ROBOTIC Training includes: equipment setup, total station and job
settings using field controller, basic topo/stakeout features, file
transfer, and Student Training Guides.
Training is conducted at Holman’s Inc. Training Centers or
Customer Office by a GIS/Survey Training Specialist during normal
business hours M-F. Limit (4) Students per class.
On-site training is available at the same price plus travel expenses
in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulations, extra charges
may apply.
Intermediate RTK GPS or Robotic Total Station Product Training
16 HOURS (2 DAYS), P/N 990147

Meet the Trainer
Mark Gonzales, LSIT

Mark has over twenty-seven years of experience in the field of surveying and mapping, eight years of which he served as a party chief performing boundary and construction surveys. He has over sixteen years of specialized experience in directing topographic and hydrographic surveying data collection under the direction of Glen Canyon Environmental Studies and Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center (GCMRC). This data is used in the preparation of specific scientific surveys in the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River for the Bureau of Reclamation. As the Survey Coordinator for GCMRC, United States Geological Survey, he specialized in the continued development of airborne and ground based remote sensing technology, such as an automated multi-beam hydrographic underwater mapping system.
Mark has managed numerous hydrographic projects as a contractor or project manager, including projects that range from the NOAA Debris Mapping Project in the Gulf of Mexico to sediment monitoring in the Central Arizona Project canal system.

Mark studied Anthropology, Archaeology, Surveying and Environmental Science at Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona, before continuing studies at the University of Arizona. Mark later worked as a staff archaeologist at the Centre for Field Archaeological Studies where he helped lead the surveying and mapping programs for Pima College.Today, Mark works for Holman's, Inc. as a Training Specialist.
Ken Shipley, RLS

Ken’s professional career has spanned over 18 years in the surveying and engineering profession. Ken’s past experience has included working for a State D.O.T, the U.S. Army, the Army National Guard, and civilian surveying and engineering companies.
Ken is licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor in the state of Arizona and Missouri. Ken has been very supportive of the Surveying and GIS professions throughout his career and is currently serving on the Arizona Professional Land Surveyors Association (APLS) Board of Directors as Secretary. Ken also serves as President for the APLS Central Chapter during 2007.
Other organizations that Ken is involved in include the National Society of Professional Surveyors and the Army Engineer Association.
